Frequently Asked Questions
Why did Klar mark a legitimate email as spam?
No spam filter is perfect. If Klar misclassifies an email, move it from Junk back to your Inbox. This helps the system learn over time.
Does Klar send my emails to a server?
No. All email processing happens locally on your Mac. Klar never sends your emails, metadata, or any personal information to any server. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What macOS version do I need?
Klar requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer).
How do I adjust the filtering sensitivity?
Open Klar and go to the Settings tab. You can choose between Cautious (fewer false positives), Standard (balanced), and Aggressive (catches more spam) profiles.
The extension doesn’t appear in Mail Settings
Try quitting Mail completely (Cmd+Q) and reopening it. If that doesn’t work, restart your Mac. The extension should appear in Mail > Settings > Extensions.
