Klar builds spam detection that runs on your device and on infrastructure its operators control. We are independent, based in France, and small by design.

How we work

We work asynchronously, write decisions down, and automate anything we expect to do twice. Everyone follows problems through to production.

That can mean moving between the model, the C++ engine, a native Mac app, infrastructure, and the words users read. We keep the team close to the product and the product close to real mail.

Who we would work with

When Klar grows, we will look for people who:

Care about email, privacy, and security as engineering problems, not compliance slogans.
Have depth in one area and enough curiosity to work across the stack.
Communicate directly and make decisions from evidence.
Can hold a strong technical opinion and change it when the facts change.
Prefer finishing and shipping good work to talking about work in progress.
Treat writing as a core skill, not an extra. Clear writing is how decisions get made here, and how they leave a trace.
